Wendy Higgins nació en Alaska, y vivió en todo los Estados Unidos antes de establecerse en el área de Washington, DC. Asistió a la Universidad George Mason por su grado de licenciatura en escritura creativa, y la Universidad de Radford para su maestría en currículo e instrucción. Enseñó inglés a 9° y 12° grado en una escuela rural antes de convertirse en madre y autora. Ahora vive en el norte de Virginia con su esposo, hija e hijo. Sweet Peril es su segunda novela.

Before everything I want to thank you Wendy because you gave us this amazing interview about this fantastic book you wrote, besides you let us know you a little more about the great person you are.

1) How you discover your passion for writing?
~ I always loved writing! When I was five-years-old I wrote stories and sold them to neighbors, haha.

2) I have to confess that i’m a huge fan of Sweet Evil and my friend is also fangirling about it too. We want to know how this idea came up? Angels, sins, demons, Kaidan *swoons*
~ It all came from my crazy imagination! I have always been intrigued by angels/demons and what I'd read about them in the Bible. I knew my good girl, Anna, needed a bad boy to tempt her, so I came up with the idea of Kaidan, who is everything that I find sexy.

3) We know Sweet Evil is a trilogy, what can you tell us about the other ones? Could you give us a tiny teaser about what can we expect in Sweet Peril?
~ Sweet Peril is fun because we get to see Anna grow up a bit. She has had to make some changes, but her heart is still strong, and she is still very in love with Kai.
4) What do you use as inspiration to build your characters?
~ Life: people I meet, relationships I've had and witnessed, and my imagination

Actualmente vive en Texas con su familia. Es una lectora voraz y se puede pasar un día sumergida en un buen libro. Ella es una fan ávida de fútbol americano universitario. Ella tuvo la suerte de encontrar a su propio príncipe azul en la universidad, y tienen dos hijos maravillosos y un Maltés llamado Sugar Bear y un nuevo cachorro labrador llamado Camber Lacey. Pardon my English but is a little rusty. This entry had to leave before, and I'm truly sorry for the delay, but my laptop is dying all the time :C

So here we go ... when the author told me yes I could do the interview, not know how excited I was, because I really enjoy her book and I consider a fan of her. Jillian Dodd thank you very much!,  I leave the interview and I hope you enjoy it as I enjoy it.

1) How you discover your passion for writing? 

I’ve always made up stories. Whether it was to entertain myself or my friends. I also used to make up stories to help me get out of trouble with my parents. I never dreamed of being a writer though. I just always loved to read. I had some reoccurring dreams that I had to write down. Those led to the book, That Boy.

2) I know "That Boy" is one of your books, so tell us how this idea came up?

I have very vivid dreams and there are three scenes in That Boy that I dreamed. The party in the cornfield. Phillip and JJ visiting Danny at college, specifically where they play catch on the Nebraska field.  And the beginning scene. I wrote the rest of the story mostly for my benefit. I had to know the rest!

3) What can you tell us about the sequel of That Boy, That Wedding?

I loved writing That Wedding. Jadyn grows up in this book, so it was very satisfying to write. And you get to see the boy she wants to marry on a daily basis. How adorable and dreamy he is. It was a lot of fun to plan their wedding as well. I had help from a wedding planner and was able to incorporate so much of their long history into their wedding. 

4) Some scenes of your books have been inspired by a real life situation?

They say it’s easiest to write what you know. Jadyn and I are similar in that she was a bit of a tomboy. She likes sports. She grows up in a small town. She partied in a cornfield. She went to the same university as me and was in a sorority. I did have a former boyfriend ask me to marry him in a bar. And I did have a guy tell me When you least expect it, expect it. Which was his way of calling me or showing up whenever he wanted. I also had a guy hold my hand and not let go, but I was in high school not college.
