Logan Kash Ryan has spent the last three and a half years working undercover in Tampa Bay, Florida. From the moment Rachel and Kash meet, they stress the friendship-only rule and continue to push their feelings for each other aside. But as their friendship advances, lines start blurring, and soon their reasons for keeping the other at a distance are forgotten.

 Logan Kash Ryan ha pasado los últimos tres años y medio trabajando encubierto en Tampa Bay, Florida. Cuando un caso los envía a él y a su compañero a Austin, Texas, para seguir la pista de un asesino en serie, su único objetivo debe ser buscar al chico antes de que pueda encontrar otra víctima. La última cosa que necesita Kash es la distracción de su nueva  hermosa vecina, pero hay algo en su guardada naturaleza y actitud combativa eso hace que sea imposible que se mantenga alejado de ella.

Rachel Masters se ha protegido a sí misma para que no la lastimen de nuevo. Pero cuando su nuevo vecino casi le quita la puerta de su coche con su moto, todo cambia. Es arrogante, hermoso, tatuado y perforado. Todo cuanto sabe que  debe evitar. A pesar de las advertencias de su primera impresión se ha planteado, rápidamente enamorarse de él y de su forma de tratar de derribar todas sus defensas. Pero él le está ocultando algo, y después de todo lo que ha sucedido últimamente en la vida de Raquel, un chico es lo último que necesita.
